Annie you write really useful stuff! I was following similar approach as you are describing, simply because mass applications sounded so counterintuitive to finding a position that would really fit my interests and experiences. Now with your advices I can make it even more nuanced. :)
Thanks Annie, I needed to hear this. Gonna hold back my urge to mass apply and take your advice... It's just so tempting when the job alerts keep coming up!
That's what I have written on the top of my list of interesting companies: "Prioritise for fit and connections!". I guess that goes well together with your advice to apply for less positions ;)
100% this, I noticed that this is a challenge for early career jobseekers / career changers. It's often not clear why you need to be very selective about the companies you apply to. I have another article on this in the drafts!

That's a very, very good article. Very relevant in the current context. Please share it on Linkedin 🤪 And keep writing this type of stuff!
Thank you so much Livio! I will definitely start publishing this newsletter on LinkedIn too!
Yeah! Or just share the link there :) Linkedin newsletter suck a little and are becoming increasingly spammy.
